  8.   Number 1)    What?! You didn't read the docs for RSCXPAND and now
  9.                you can't even boot your machine?

  11.                Tell me you DID back up your deskicon.rsc file!

  14.                No matter. Your Falcon diskettes have a copy on
  15.                them. Boot from floppy and copy it back to drive C:

  17.                Now... let me get a shot of penecillin for you...

  20.   Number 2)    "I expanded my resource file to 199 icons and didn't
  21.                 experience any dizziness until I later changed
  22.                 resolution to true-color. Now my system just sits
  23.                 there with a blank white screen and a busy-bee."

  25.                  Not to worry. True-color mode is slow in a lot of
  26.                 ways. TOS just needs more time to convert all those
  27.                 icons from 16-colors to 32k color format.
  28.                  This isn't very noticable when you have the stock
  29.                 deskicon.rsc file with only 32 icons but with an
  30.                 expanded resource file it becomes obvious.
  31.                  It takes upward of 30 seconds to convert all 199
  32.                 icons. Just wait a while longer. 
  33.                  If this is too long a delay for you then perhaps
  34.                 you'd be more comfortable with say, 100 icons.
  35.                 Re-run RSCXPAND on your original resource file and
  36.                 select a lesser number of icons. (100,128 or even 80)

  38.   Number 3)     "ICONPAGE will not run on my STe."

  40.                  Unfortunately, this problem is yet unsolved.
  41.                  Original testing was done in the ST-LOW resolution
  42.                  'compatibility' mode of the Falcon030 and works
  43.                  fine there. It was assumed that it would also
  44.                  work in 'real' ST-LOW resolution... alas, that is
  45.                  not the case. It is being looked into as we speak.
